1. Our Approach
This website (moyako.com) uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements, plus minimal essential storage for your theme and consent-banner choice. We do not run first-party analytics (no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar), and we do not use social-media tracking cookies.
2. Essential Local Storage (first-party)
We use your browser's localStorage (not a cookie — never leaves your device) to store:

2.1 Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
moyako.com shows advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may set cookies and similar technologies on your device to serve, measure, and report on ads — including personalised ads where you have granted consent.
- Set by: Google and authorised Google advertising partners.
- Purpose: serving ads, frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention, and (with consent) personalisation.
- Governed by: the Google Partner Sites policy and Google's Ads & Privacy page.
- EEA / UK / Switzerland consent: a Google CMP (Consent Management Platform) banner is shown before any personalised-advertising cookies are set. You may accept, reject, or customise per-purpose and per-vendor.
- Your opt-out: turn off personalised ads at any time via Google Ads Settings. Non-personalised ads may still be shown; they use limited cookies for frequency capping and fraud prevention only.
3. What This Site Does NOT Use
- Analytics cookies — no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar first-party analytics on moyako.com
- Social media cookies — no third-party social tracking (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, etc.)
4. Sub-Products
Our sub-products use Firebase Analytics for usage tracking, gated behind their own cookie consent banners (UK PECR Regulation 6):
- Moyako Portfolio (portfolio.moyako.com) — Firebase Analytics + PostHog. Only activated after you accept analytics cookies. See the Portfolio cookie policy.
- Moyako Games (games.moyako.com) — Firebase Analytics. Only activated after you accept analytics cookies.
No analytics data is collected on any Moyako property unless you explicitly consent.
5. Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. On sub-products that use analytics, you can change your consent choice via the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer.
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR and PECR, you have the right to control cookies on your device. Our consent banner allows you to accept or decline on first visit. Contact the ICO with any concerns.
